I have also been journaling with Rupi Kaur and came across this beautiful sex positive poem from home body. I feel a little shy sharing words like this because it’s so powerful in its essence of intimacy with sensuality. I love when people speak their feels and this is helping me heal doing these writing exercises and dancing within my own sensuality. My body is so hot from wanting you. In an adult world we forget the magic isn’t sex the magic is the sensuality you bring to sex or any part of life that make the true never ending forgettable experiences from every day drinking coffee, feeling joy again after feeling depression or grief or the act of love with someone you feel home with. These begin at the root of the spine and ascend to the crown of the head. The second chakra is known as the sacral chakra or Svadhishthana, and it is linked to the colour orange and associated with movement, flow, care, pleasure, sexuality, relationships and procreation. It represents the male and female aspects of ourselves. It is about creating joy, happiness and loving relationships. The energy of the sacral chakra stores desires and emotions. If it's over-active, you might to be overly sensitive to the opinions of others, whereas if it's blocked, you might find it difficult to express your feelings. To unblock this chakra: · Sit quietly and take some deep, grounding breaths. · Place your hands on your lap, resting on top of each other, with the palms facing upwards and thumbs touching. · Focus on the sacral chakra, which is positioned in the lower abdomen of your body. Imagine it as the bud of an orange flower, spiralling open a petal at time. · Think about the qualities of pleasure, sexuality and creativity that are associated with this chakra and what these mean to you. · Silently chant the sound “Vam”. Reasons for pain: Hip flexors/upper back/shoulders are tight, förcing your low back to take all the load in your backbend Core is too weak to support the bending that you’re doing Glutes/hamstring aren’t firing properly or enough in your backbends work together and create an even bend throughout. To help this everything should be working together. We need to learn to make sure our body is supporting itself with everything stretched, strengthening and helping and supporting each other. The answer to low back pain is not to focus on bending from your low back more or avoiding your low back all together. The answer is to work on EVERY PART EQUALLY. Goal #1: Strengthen everything. Goal #2: Don't be afraid of letting your low back bend*, cause you need to move through your low back to create an even bend. My fav headstand balance of all time. Doing this on the beach in Bali. What is your fav Balance? All these photos are me in different looks. I as a person have not changed. However how you think of me May. That tells you more about your perspectives then me. This is a cool way to learn how we see the world and our meanings. Everything is neutral until we place our perspectives on them. If you feel sexual it is because your body is alive inside connected to that energy. If you feel inspired it is because your body is alive to move maybe. If you feel shame it’s because you’ve been taught this somewhere for a certain look, if you feel like you couldn’t do this it’s because your thoughts believe it so and so on. Your perspectives can empower or disempower. Connect or disconnect. Choose wisely. Did you know one photo can take up to 30 mins warm up for when a yoga pose or here I was making bread at the end of the process 30 mins later and then can take up to 5 to 10 mins to capture. Following this is the editing time if photos need it. Before that is the hours of practice needed to create a pose (some of these poses took 9 years to learn). Then there is the finding of the environment and what is needed, finding the right light, saving money for equipment and also programs on computers to create and edit content. Personally there is also my education to be a trainer and the trainers I pay to train with when I can and the equipment needed to learn my skills too. One photo or post then requires you to caption it, post it and return comments on it. This is never 1 sec or 10 sec thing. One video that maybe 3 mins could take up to an hour to create and have ready for the site. The world of instant can be so misleading. I wish we could see more BTS (behind the scenes). Let us remember BTS are the sum total of a life leading up to this very moment or post and that doesn't just include the taking and making of it but also the living as well. Some days just to create the movement practices and photos here or on patreon for you all it can look like a day of nearly 8hrs of movement. I personally need to train for my skills Then I need to warm up and cool down to avoid injury. I need to do these yoga and workout and dance videos I make I need to do some poses that are captured over and over again and warm up specifically for them and cool down for them not to get injured for the photos. I work and train clients on top of this and move with them. I have to run my house and do my personal life as well with family. As you can see it can be a lot. Can you imagine moving and training for 8 hrs. I can tell you on these days I am exhausted and after this I still am left with editing and posting etc. The reality is never seen. It is always a story in our heads we see. So let's cheer each other on and remember people always do more than we see and everything that we see always takes so much work and effort. Nothing is done in a split second - done and dusted. It is all the sum total of micro shifts over the years. This post alone has taken me 30mins to write and proof and will still probably need another proof after. That is why truly everything is a lifestyle and nothing can be accomplished without making it apart of our lifestyle and why 30 day programs are just not the keys or answers as people suggest they are. Let us say you learn a language or you get fit or learn a skill in 30 days. If you do not use that skill you lose it so therefore you have to relearn. That means that it isn't 30 days. Because you either have to keep using the skills daily or you have to relearn it. So everything is the sum total of our choices done daily. We start by motivation to learn, we build good habits, the habits pick us up when when our motivation runs out. Our consistency gives us the results with the habits and the habits then become micro-shifts into new different growing habits and the cycle repeats as we grow, learn and evolve. Creating art and seeing myself through different lenses…It teaches me these things: -Don’t believe your every thought - we can choose to focus on our breathing and let our awareness rest in our bodies, not unquestioningly believe all the thoughts in our brains that disempower us -sleep on it you have often come a long way to do things, maybe you’ll see things differently tomorrow. Nothing lasts, not even difficult times. -Directing our attention choosing what we aim it at is the best possible and only thing we can do when things get really hard. It was a hard process learning to do share my art and naked teaching. I knew in my heart I was more than the shame and judgment I was receiving. It still catches me every time someone wants to judge me for my body. However I am learning more and more, a little distance helps you get your thought processes into perspective (meditation and breathing - mind training), you come to realize other people are dealing with the same things as you, it automatically makes it easier to notice the things we humans share, rather than what divides us. Regardless of who we are, where we come from and what our history is, we tend to have a lot in common in terms of our inner workings. By admitting that and shining a light on it, we make it easier to stop pretending we are on top of everything. It makes it easier to help each other, to share, to genuinely connect. We can create complimentary connections instead of competitive ones and rejoice in our uniqueness. We can see what is wonderful about other people without taking the next unfortunate step of whispering to ourselves there we are not as good. I cried the first time I saw my first naked yoga flow in Germany (the emotion took me by surprise) because it was the first time I saw me the girl behind the masks and shame. She was free and happy and it took me by surprise I could feel so much joy. However, my mind was scared and vulnerable to share to a world that did not understand. It hurt to receive the hatred, shame and misappropriation back, but it hurt more to live with masks and shame. So I keep doing it and still do. Some of my most freeing and happiest moments exists within art and movement. It healed me, liberated me, created fun and connection I never imagined and helped me to bring the joy back in. No words can describe the gift it has given me and those that I have worked with. Every day still leaves me vulnerable as I share to a world that still is not sure of the difference between, art, healing, sensuality and sexuality and how it can all coexist and bring beauty to the world not just have to be good or bad. I wish I was a punk rocker with flowers in my hair, but I was born too late to a world that doesn't care....this song line always sticks in my head for me. We humans are born to feel it all and experience all life has to offer. I hope one day the world allows more people to shatter glass ceilings and feel the magic of the shards of glass raining down with the infinite possibilities before us and the only limits are the ones we create ourselves. Life goes quickly and is short. So many of us are waiting for the right time and place and people to save us. However we create the time for what really matters. We matter and your life matters so be wise with it and create time for it and your joy. When you are on your death bed these are the things that will remind you the value of life. My truth is that we are our own heroes. Life has a destiny but within that destiny we get to choose our own adventures. We are born and we die and we end up on certain paths but our choice is how we respond to each path and what and where we go with it. Do we sit and complain, do we dare to grow or take risks, do we stay in our comfort or do we just watch life go by? -Tell that person you love them at least you have the answers. -Create friendships even if you can't have relationships at least you will always be connected to the thing that makes your heart soar. -Do the unthinkable even if you can't at least you know you tried. -Give to those you've been waiting for a special occasion to give to. -Work on your dreams nothing will align for them you have to simply work and choose now. In the last 9 years life has taken me through financial challenge over and over again, moving, losing friends, gaining friends, doing things that I never thought I would and becoming who I never thought I would. Writing a book I never made money from but helped me heal and others. Creating art that made people dislike me but helped me to breathe. Holding a retreat I lost money on that has made this year extremely taxing financially but rewarding personally knowing I can. Personally I never thought I would be known as that naked yoga girl, yet here I am. Every day my daughter looks at the art and she says you look beautiful in your clothes and beautiful without your clothes. I smile in hope that one day there will be a world filled with souls like her that life is not a look, it is a feel and we can love each other not because of what we see but because of what we feel and what we do for ourselves and each other. So please stop waiting and saying you can't because It is hard to make things happen but it is also hard to sit there watching your life go by and not ticking any boxes. So: -Reach out to those people you care for and make sure they know it. -Take an adventure you've been waiting for. -Read that book you always wanted to read. -Eat that beautiful piece of food you desire. -Tell that person you think they are beautiful and you dream of them. -Take chances and tick as many boxes as possible whilst working on your dreams. Why you probably keep saying it is not that easy you probably are thinking and yes you are right... Nope it isn't easy. I know that and it ain't easy living either in a life that you don't enjoy. I know that too that is why I attempted on my life. However now at least I want to live and get joy struggling doing it. The art of suffering well I call it..... So you may as well try I promise the joy will shine in much more and life will become the art of suffering well for you too. It wont be ground hog day it will be days filled with challenges of course but also joy and magic too. That is a life worth living to me. Because one day you'll look back if you do not and you will see it was all the things that you were waiting for that held you back from joy and a good life and all the things you never got to say and do you will regret or wish for. This took me a long time to teach again it was a very long journey to healing and learning self love again. A long time ago I decided there was nothing wrong with the human body. I wanted to share my teaching free and in the human form with no clothes. I had been practicing learning self love this way. I was asked by a site to teach a few sequences. One of them was FireFly. I never knew the consequences would be so big from doing this. The videos went viral and were misappropriated on many sites. The bullying began online through many yogis hating me and many people shaming me and calling me pörn. I was bullied on instagram by some yogis. They would block me from seeing their stories and share passages of messages I wrote to them about my rÄpe and my life experience, calling it BS. As a mother and a human that had experienced trauma, losing a ch1ild, physical and mental abuse and coming to yoga to heal it was shattering. I was trying to heal and here were hurt people hurting people. To me this is what is wrong with the world, not our pain but our hurt being transferred and judgment and shaming being done that stops us healing. I do not understand how we as a society and especially a yoga community are still not practicing kindness and being the change in ourselves. I do not understand why society keeps teaching yoga from the outside and fitness from the outside when it is from the inside where everything happens. Social media is a great gift for connection however it is also causing egotastic behaviours by the likes and algorithms and we need to work on this and ourselves to see this. I did not hate and do not hate these women and yogis that hurt me. However I do feel sorry for them as what has the world done to them that they can be so cruel to someone? Personally I nearly lost myself and it took me to a very dark place and it also rippled into my family life where family members became cruel too. It was a very hard time in my life. I felt ashamed & hurt by strangers misappropriating me, yogis judging and sending hate messages on social media and just a world I did not realise could be so cruel. For me I realised I grew up very different to most. I was always taught an honest approach to nudity. “I grew up with a father who would happily walk around the house naked. Through him, I associated the body as a tool for life. It was something that was part of our day-to-day life and did not have a ‘look.’ It had a feel. To him, the body was neutral and natural, as it is for me too. My mother however was very shy and uncomfortable in her skin, due to her upbringing and past experiences, and her self-worth was sadly lacking. She was beautiful to me however, even if she didn’t swim much and wasn’t comfortable showing her body.“In 2010, when I went to Austria for the first time, I had my first naked sauna experience with the family I was staying with. It was all so normal. We went to a unisex change room, which included families getting changed for the pool all together. We then went to a unisex sauna. I met the head of the Police and the Town Mayor, and still cannot recognise them with clothes on to this day!”She has a similar attitude to body positivity. “It’s about accepting ourselves for who we are, and others the same. It is not about whether you wear clothes or not; it is simply about feeling good within yourself. I respect that my dad was comfortable naked, and I respect that my mom prefers clothes. I believe we need to allow people to be themselves, and never force anyone into something they are not comfortable with, or label them. It’s why I don’t necessarily call myself ‘a naturist.’ I am simply a human. Just like when someone asks me what yoga I do. I simply do yoga. I don’t need labels to show who I am. I am just me, and allow others to do the same. I think as soon as we label ourselves we already set up invisible barriers. Why can’t we just ‘be’?“I have been naked all over the world in many places, creating art, experiencing different cultures. My favourite place to be naked? It always changes, because the only constant is change. My most recent favourite place was with a good friend, creating art in St Louis in the woods and by the river. But it is always about the joy it brings, not where I am.” During this experience online one yogi, a very famous lady, reached out to me and told me that she was sorry what was happening and that if I ever needed support or someone to talk to she would be here. She told me yogis were reaching out to her telling her not kind things about me asking why she followed me? It was at that moment although I was struggling and hurt, I realised that there were some people that practice true yoga and there were kind soulsp in this world true to their word on social media and in life. Although this experience taught me how innocent I was in terms of seeing the world sexuality and the online world being so sexual it also taught me how there were great people in the world and those were the voices that matter not the voices of hate, shame and misappropriation. It also reminded me even more why I was doing it and how important it was for me to change the narrative of sexuality for my daughter and future generation. Not long after this I got contacted by Watkins Publishing who asked me to write my story in a book now published https://www.amazon.com/Brave-Beautiful-Baring-All-Happiness/dp/1786782898 They found me through Instagram. When they did their QA of me before proceeding with me writing my book they also told me what they had found on the internet about me. It was a very embarrassing and comforting experience. So I sat down and talked to them about what happened. They were shocked and horrified. At first when they saw me online they were going to cancel the book deal it seemed. However after we sat and talked they thought it even more important I tell my story. It was a whirlwind and a very hard experience, not only dealking with all this but also re telling my story for the world to read. I am glad I have done it but I can tell you every day I am still challenged by it and others perceptions and still have healing to do. I am just grateful that there are kind people in the world willing to let the real stories be told, see people rather than judge them, so we can allow people to see the truth. In the end I hope it helps others as I know many people have suffered in their own way through similar things to me. Although teaching naked yoga and fitness has been very difficult with the naysayers I feel most at home doing it and it has helped me heal from my trauma and self hatred. I feel like it is world changing and life changing to understand sexuality and sensuality co exist and helps us to become more whole as humans and also with others. My journey to teaching naked has been confusing and overwhelming and often painful. There has been no easy about it and not a lot of unkindness until recently. I am not the most famous but I know in my heart of hearts I have always lived in my truth and done it from a place of love and realness. I am so grateful now also to collab and work with like minded women Audri Asana and also so grateful to be working to create our next retreat together next year with a mix of yoga, art and fitness in Europe. This was my first nude shoot with the photographer of my book in Bali at my yoga teacher training. We often hide our pain from those closest to us. We have the 27 club in the celebrity world so many die y@ung not sharing their pain and we never realising until too late. Sharing our pain with our loved ones or others would feel like a giant burden being lifted from our shoulders, but it is hard to open up. Art and movement has helped me to hold space for my pain and open up again. Working with my body nude and free and with others in a safe space has allowed my inner voice to calm and my pain to heal. I am healed and healing and always a work in progress. The older we get the less we seem to play. Creating art and workouts, yogas and dances has helped me learn to play again and hold space for all of me. For a long time I often struggled to have fun because I was convinced I did not have time to do the thing that did not directly help me accomplish my goals. I felt this need to hustle non stop, which left no room to play. I was obsessed with optimising every minute of my day to be productive. All of this eventually led to me hitting rock bottom I attempted on my life. This is when I turned to movement as medicine and art learning the importance of having fun again and it is just as important as the hustle. Having fun also played a big part in being productive. The more balance we have the longer we can sustain ourselves. One of the things I feel SO sad about in this world is how us as humans shame each other for the human body we were given and sexuality that creates who we are. We as adults experience sex as connection but sadly however we are misappropriating it as only pörn and the human body. We walk around this world with animals that do not put clothes on and accept them with love and kindness. But for humans the human body and sexuality is one of the greatest gift for pleasure, experiencing things, creating human life, connection and also creating what we do in our day to day life with joy, yet we are disrespectful about them and shame them. Our bodies create experiences in life. They help us talk, read this passage, do exercise, drive a car, go to work, create food for our loved ones, pay bills, pretty much everything we do. Why are we so bent on making it something to be ashamed of? Why are we so bent on creating more imaginary lines in this world? These clothes on our backs are just a society unwritten lines that makes us decent or not, however the truth is we are decent and wonderful humans always. Children are born naked and we love our children. We were all once children too. Clothes or no clothes do not define us. As we grow yes erotic play becomes adult play and also self care (read Esther Perels blog and books for more details) and also connection that is not just sex but includes making someone smile, touching someones arm, kissing someone and these can all be done in clothes. Sex maybe the final point of connection for many however it is not dirty and naked maybe our most in our skin experience however this is not dirty either these are just an experience and look. You may have seen my body, however one does not truly know me without knowing my likes, my dislikes, the stories of my life, my family, the food I eat, the work I do, about my family etc. To use a body to make a person feel unworthy is exactly part of the problem with the world. We have lost perspective of how to see and treat what is part of human existence with respect and those in it. I hope one days we can all grow and be more human and more loving for the human body and normalise it and our sexuality with respect. if only we could realise that we are damaging not just those we shame but ourselves too and their families and friends. Dont we have enough problems in the world already, do we really need to be ashamed for the body life gave us and the acts of connection everyone is doing and creating children? Do you really know a person if you have seem them naked? What do you think? What does knowing a person mean to you? Do you think that we need to change our perspectives? Do you have sex? Have you had sex with a stranger and they have remained a stranger? Have you not had sex with someone but know them very well and what makes them tick? Do you think clothes make you a good person? When you walk around your house naked do you feel like a not so decent person? What are your views in the way society treats sexuality and the human body?
